On-Demand Webinar: Authentication, Certificates, and VPNs

by Peter_vdL Motorola on 12-06-2011 11:48 AM

As Android drives further and further into the enterprise, app developers need increased familiarity with IT terminology and “best practices”.   If you’d like a little help getting up to speed with the best practices of how https (the http secure protocol) works, then this webinar is for you.

It turns out that https is built on top of the TLS protocol (or the older SSL foundation).  And TLS/SSL is also commonly the foundation of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).  VPNs are the key enabling technology for secure access to a company intranet, from outside the firewall.  If you’d like a clear and direct explanation of what these terms mean, and what the technologies can do for you, then please click on the link to go to the webinar, and find out.

This is actually the first of a couple of webinars that I plan to put together. Next up: F3$JDBC8 - just kidding!  The topic of the coming webinar will be “Android and Encryption” - everything you need to know about Android and encryption, but your kindergarten teacher unaccountably did not teach.  So please enjoy this VPN webinar, and stay tuned for the coming attraction on ciphers.
